wooded manor

project brief

With en-suite bedrooms, shower / laundry in the mud room and Chef’s Kitchen – this home is just as beautiful as it is functional. Architectural design cues can be seen in every room in the home, from one of the 3 stunning fireplaces in the partially finished lower level to the mahogany paneled study off of the family room.

exterior

The magnificent detail in the brick and Brownstone exterior of the home is accented by meticulously selected finishes. Copper gutters, front covered entry with paneled columns, wrought iron gates / fencing are intended to introduce the viewer as to what to expect inside. This same philosophy extends to the 3 car garage which was also given the same treatment.

Materials

interior

The interior of the home boasts solid oak floors, granite finishes, detailed architecture and tall ceilings. The wood for the floors was derived from native trees on the original property which were then cut at a saw mill near the home. Granite finishes are featured in the kitchen, butler’s pantry and all bathrooms.

Location

The approach to this custom built 3,506 sq ft colonial style residence starts with a winding private driveway featuring newly installed lamp posts. Sitting on 11 wooded acres and surrounded by multiple patios with terraced landscaping, this retreat was built with privacy in mind.
